You need to print your post and distribute it to people with cloudy eyes so that they open their eyes and soul to this world! Great article, read it in a second, thanks! Such a call to action, the best time to start is now, this minute. You just need to go and do, learn, open up to this world.

Tim. I don't even know where to start listing all the things that relate to me in this piece. Maybe the failure and emotional turmoils that build character. Or ditching lukewarm goals. Or being persistent when everyone thinks you should quit. I went through all of these and am so grateful for all those experiences.

The only thing here that doesn't relate with me 100% is moving too slow. It relates about 50% because I do move slow from the hustle culture standpoint. The other 50% is my choice to tell hustlers fu** off and go slower deliberately, while rearranging my life and headspace, so I can start running when I'm ready. It's not waiting for the perfect circumstance. It's a process that needs time.

Oh, and I'm so buying your LinkedIn course, cus I could use some shortcuts for what I'm planning.

Stay well, independent, and obsessively delusional about writing :)

Read you next time

"But when you look like you know nothing people let their guard down. They tell you stuff they probably shouldn’t. They let you in on secrets you can’t google or ask ChatGPT for." -- l like that.

Thank you for another dynamite article, Tim. :)

What resonates is your exclamation point of chasing compounding interest and not the dog's tail. I tweeted your quote and its a topic I reiterate in my articles on Medium--you say it with a hammer and nail it every article. good stuff, Tim.

Thanks for sharing ECP. I'm a hammer looking for a nail when it comes to this sort of advice haha

Your posts either infuriate or inspire me, sometimes at the same time. I have been blessed with a modicum of success, but the long term result rate is not so great. For instance, I cherished the idea of going to law school. My father was the very wet blanket of the thought and because I valued, ie. feared his opinion, I let my dream die. However, I did become a paralegal through perseverance and spite. The bitter pill came with low wages, but I loved the work. 12 Things . . . speaks to me in a way I could not articulate, but am delighted you could. My eyes are open to the world of possibilities and freedom the writer's life will allow. Thank you, Tim, for insight and encouragement.

No probs Judy. My job is to make you think. Some stuff you will like and some stuff you'll hate. That's the way it should be.

I am taking action for my perfect holiday vacation this summer. Three different groups of people that I've known for decades are all going to be in one place in July, and by golly! I'm going to be there too. I have done all the budgeting, and I can easily afford it. Off I Go!

Huge +1 to "giving up on lukewarm goals."

So many people are "looking into" or "thinking about" getting started on whatever. No they're not. They're just in love with the idea of doing it.

Tim, as always, a pleasure to read! What's even more special today is I am reading this on my birthday right after I got told off by my stepdad for doing something I didn't do like a 13 year old even though I'm 31...I'm at rebuilding stage after losing my mum, my job, breakdown of relationship and loss of home all happened months apart last year. All of which brought me to my new obsession- writing, blogging, creating. Thanks for continuing to inspire me.

This little gem today has helped me to focus on what it is I want to achieve. Ignore the back ground noise... And so the typing continues... 😁

Awesome. What I NEEDED to read. Get rid of the distractions, go all in and take action now. Oh, and stop judging yourself to others.

I do have a few goals I want to achieve, so time management is vital, but all doable.

By the way, I do document some of my progress at https://productivitybee.co.uk/

I have been encouraged reading this today! I took a week off work, feeling drained and overworked, you mention all the things I must give up…including being told what to do, micro managed.., I have followed you and read many of your inspiring and unapologetic writing but this got me! I enjoy writing so I will definitely do something about it from today. Thanks for your inspiring posts!
