Twelve Things I Don't Give a Shit About Right Now
They're wasting your time and draining your life.
Everyone wants you to care about their agenda.
As such, our attention gets dragged in multiple directions simultaneously. We can’t make out our head from our ass most of the time because of it.
Some say making lots of money is the holy grail. I disagree. Reducing the mental load on your brain is true wealth.
Here are the things I don’t give a sh*t about today. Eliminate them to save your brain.
The knobhead who is Andrew Tate
This guy is a male pig.
He came on the scene dissing women and empowering people to become bros. He’s racist, polarizing, immature, full of himself, and evil.
He figured out that if he had an army of copycats who’d promote his social media posts in return for an affiliate fee, he couldn’t be canceled.
It took years for anyone to try and turn social media into a weapon of mass destruction. Now he’s got the keys to the kingdom, he’s exploiting it. So his name trends on Twitter every day.
Screw people who seek to divide us to for sh*ts and giggles.
Whether Donald Duck runs again
From one clown to the next. I'm embarrassed by my male species sometimes.
This isn’t a right or left conversation and it’s not about politics. Donald is a tool. I watched “The Apprentice” tv show all those years ago. He was a pig back then.
He treated women like pieces of garbage.
And his ego was just as big then as it was when he was president. No one cares whether he will run again because the average person can see through him. He’s a crybaby, a sore loser, and a dishonest businessman.
Just look at his Wikipedia page to get an idea.
Mr Donald Duck is already a grandpa with the worst diet in history. Some say he won’t live long enough to ever run again. I don’t wish ill on anyone.
I just hope he stays in the background so another Jan 6th doesn’t happen.
People’s thoughts about how Elon Musk runs Twitter
Love it or hate it, Twitter is a great platform.
After all these years it’s still a place you can go to learn. Sure, some of the conversations are toxic. But that depends on who you follow.
Stay away from the crazies and you’ll have a great experience.
Since Elon acquired the birdy app it’s been on every media channel. The noise is deafening. Some people don’t want to pay $8 a month for Twitter.
Others are pissed he fired a bunch of people.
In the end the people will vote. If Twitter continues to be useful then we’ll stay on there and perhaps pay for it. If it’s not, we’ll delete it like we did with Facebook.
Elon doesn’t care what you think though.
He bought Twitter to get access to the data so he can funnel it into his robots, cars, and neuralink devices. When looked at from that perspective, he underpaid.
And he might end up being a genius.
Some say he’ll destroy society by unbanning all the idiots. Some say he is great for free speech. Honestly, it’s all nonsense. No social media controlled by a billionaire will ever be good for humanity long term.
We need decentralized social media. And I think Elon will listen to the original founder of Twitter (Jack Dorsey) and decentralize it with blockchain technology.
You won’t hurt Elon’s feelings with nasty comments. I’m not even sure he has any.
Airbnb price transparency
Airbnb used to be cool.
But then they started adding ridiculous cleaning fees and rules as bad as the ones my Chinese in-laws used to give to my wife (primarily, do math and don’t leave the house).
Airbnb simply allowed people to buy up land and homes that should have been for families, and turn them into businesses. It’s why housing affordability is so out of control in places like the US and Australia.
So I don’t give a crap about their pricing transparency. They’re bad for humans.
I’ll keep booking hotels for my holidays, where they don’t care when I check out and basically have zero rules … other than don’t cum on the carpet or piss on the walls.
Sounds fair to me.
People who think having kids is stupid
Since I announced on social media that my wife is about to give birth to a baby girl, a few crazies have got upset.
Turns out some people hate kids.
Good for them. Having kids is optional. Just because I’m having a kid doesn’t mean I’m forcing anyone else to have a kid.
What’s happening with the US mid-terms
Politicians are grandpas and politics is designed to distract you from the fact governments create money out of nowhere which devalues any existing cash.
Sure, go and vote. Democracy is a privilege after all.
Just don’t get caught up in the circus. Politics is polarizing. It’s an ‘us’ versus ‘them’ game. The people involved lack empathy.
And the incentives are completely misaligned.
Don’t forget that many popular US politicians regularly use their information advantage to invest money in stocks and win big.
Should be illegal but it’s not … because they’re in control.
Whether you like passive income
Right now passive income is a hot topic.
People are realizing with all of the layoffs that no job is safe and you can get kicked out on your ass at any time. So no surprise some want to have multiple incomes.
But when you talk about passive income it upsets people. The comments section of my content about the topic is a dumpster fire.
I don’t care whether you like it or not.
Either understand passive income or work harder than you need to for the rest of your life. Choice is yours.
The doomerism cult
If you think the world is going to end I seriously don’t give a f*ck.
I’m tired of all the people running around with their undies in a knot screaming the world is gonna collapse and America’s reign is over.
People have been saying this crap for years.
It’s a sign of a mental health crisis more than anything.
And don’t worry … I used to be one of them. Then I saw a psychologist and realized the world wasn’t ending, I just had issues from childhood.
Stop watching doom porn. It’s destroying your mental health.
The cost of living rising
Let’s break it down amigo.
Bat virus happens in 2020. World panics (as it should). We get locked in our homes. Governments and central banks create money out of thin air (aka stimulus and quantitive easing).
40% of all US dollars in history get created out of nowhere since 2020. Trillions of fake dollars flood the system – more than needed to deal with the virus.
The rich get richer and buy assets. The poor get poorer and see prices rise.
Inflation goes out of control. Interest rates go higher to slow down inflation and take the assets off the poor and give them back to the rich.
I don’t give a sh*t about this topic anymore because it’s so damn obvious and probably won’t change. No point complaining about the rising cost of living.
Just buy assets to protect yourself from the inflation.
(Not financial advice.)
The crypto doom stories
Crypto isn’t going anywhere.
To the haters: Stop pretending like NFTs are a joke and Bitcoin/Ethereum are scams. The asset class is worth more than $1 trillion and Wall Street is now involved.
No one gives a sh*t if you don’t get it. The same way no one cared that my grandpa wouldn’t trade his fax machine in for an email address.
Innovation looks scary. Just because you’re scared doesn’t mean change won’t happen.
People who can’t spot satirical posts on LinkedIn
Comedy is legal. Bossman Elon said so.
Jokes and memes are how we make sense of the world. If you’re going to overreact to every little story and picture, and pretend as though everything has a hidden meaning, you’re not gonna make it.
Lighten up a little. Too many victims, not enough thick skin folks.
Endless clickbait stories about the future of Medium dot com
This one annoys me to no end.
Too many writers on Medium write about Medium.
They tell us how much they make.
They come up with lame conspiracy theories about why their views are down.
Some crazies even attack other writers or Medium employees.
Just get stuffed if you do these things.
Medium owes none of us anything. And none of us know what they’re thinking or what the future will look like.
Use it or don’t use it. I don’t care – and neither does anyone else.
Oh … and the dumbest way in human history to make money online is to write smack about Medium because it gets a few extra views.
If you don’t add value as a writer you’re dead. This entire category of content helps no one. And one day Medium will probably ban it.
No one gives a damn right now about Medium-meta stories.

Great sentence Tim - . Reducing the mental load on your brain is true wealth
“Medium owes none of us anything. “
Everyone should have this taped to the side of their laptop.
If you’re a mediocre writer, or one that refuses to acknowledge that tastes change, it’s a really bad time to be on the platform.
For everyone else? It’s still a great site with a lot of upside.
