PS

Get this.

My YouTube channel has driven $1M in revenue.

The channel is tiny

But the profit is huge.

Will reveal more of the “how” soon.

For now, take a peek at my latest YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aLJ6FVQXA4

(See if you can guess how I’m doing it)

Another reading that gave me dopamine 🤣 ... 👌🏽

Tim Denning's avatar

But will you take action on it?

Laila's avatar

Done. Shared my first piece of art 🎊 (wanted to come back to your comment when I am done). Guess the dopamine can serve 😅

"The problem with information gatherers is they’re stuck in a comfort bubble. They think they’re learning. They’re taking a few small actions, but their progress is nonexistent. So they consume more information." I so RELATE! I am an information JUNKIE! LOL The entire post resonated with me personally and professionally! Thanks......it came just at the right time!

Ease seduces. Effort builds character.

Hard work is a prison sentence only if the work has no meaning—Malcolm Gladwell

Tim Denning's avatar

Malcolm nailed it John. What book is that quote from?

John Granholm's avatar

I just typed it down from your YouTube - let’s see what Google tells us…

Malcolm Gladwell wrote this in his 2008 bestselling book, Outliers: The Story of Success. The full quote reads:"Hard work is a prison sentence only if it does not have meaning. Once it does, it becomes the kind of thing that makes you grab your wife around the waist and dance a jig."

Taking action, that first step is the game changer. It might look overwhelming but never give room to doubt.

Tim Denning's avatar

Had doubt held you back?

Precious Fidelia's avatar

Yes, many times.

There were moments when I questioned whether I was good enough, whether my words mattered, whether I was loved.

I was always relying and surviving on people's validation.

But I've learned that confidence doesn't come before action. It comes from taking the step anyway.

Some of the things I'm most proud of today started while I was still unsure of myself.

So yes, doubt has held me back before. But I no longer give it the final say.

I’m not finishing my You 2.0 homework because….because! Will do it this afternoon. Thanks. Lots of negative emotions there…

What is You 2.0?

John Granholm's avatar

A project in Chris James’s C2C Build program - content to clients in long form. A fairly deep - and action oriented - look into current self, anti self, and future self, in enough detail to stay real and with traction without bogging down or running away from the hard yards as I have been doing.

AI will give everyone access to information like never before.

But we have already had access to more information than we need for the last 50 years.

The real thing holding everyone back is action and AI will never be able to do that for us.

I see also clearly how access to information brings C level management or even shareholders to decision making paralysis. There is always more information to ask for, there is always something to challenge the management with, covering your fear of not making the right decision or fear of being criticised. So, even unconsciously asking for more and more information brings the feeling of safety and importance. Which I think in many case is faulty and destroys the business in a longer term.

I hope many see the irony in this, I know i did right away, but with my strong Australian based humor, ;) and an improved self worth, I can better select true worthy content from fluff. This lies in the former. Thanks.

On 15th June, I graduated and came back to my village. Here, I found nowhere to go so I try to get course on SMM and starting freelance SMM but in the second module my course is not working. Here by not working means I can't log in due to some technical issues which is taking time. And again I am stuck. Now reading this feel like let's work on what has we learnt till now. Thank you

Really resonate with the core here — motion is the antidote to rumination, full stop. The piece I'd gently add is sequence. Action sits fourth in a chain that starts with belief: belief shapes thought, thought shapes emotion, emotion drives action. Intervene only at action and you can force a result — but if the belief underneath is "I'm not enough," the outcome tends to be temporary and expensive. The most durable action I've seen is the kind aimed at updating the belief — doing the specific thing the old story said you couldn't, so the subconscious gets evidence it can't argue with. Not less action. More precise action.

There's this concept, failing forward. In essence it's just priortise learning from actions and self-correcting along the way with the right information rather than just consuming the "right" information before doing anything and calling it preparation.

When you carry this concept into everything you do, and that failure inevitably happens because it will, failing will be feedback that you're moving the right direction and you'll begin to seek it more to learn more.

I'll end with this quote by Thomas Eddison, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."

Thank you for this reminder - getting dopamines from creating instead of consuming.

For me starting my own business is the #1 procrastination thing right now. The mvp and experiments approach is the best way to test and fail fast but I do feel stuck to start. Negative feelings are not comfortable .. 😅
