I would want to know if a GPT that flips the script ( enables your subscribers to narrow-cast a made-for-them version of your content) has value for you. It would be a Tim Denning branded product.
Love this article Tim, thank you. You are a strong role model and I am even more obsessed now with writing. I better get into that Bad Assery course I purchased from you 😉
Tim, this post reminds me of your other recent post where you said that being too comfortable sucks and a healthy dose of anxiety is a strong motivator.
People underestimate how time in the game beats trying to find shortcuts to play the game. But you still need to iterate otherwise you spend the most time but don't get results.
Just the compilation of Tim Ferriss quotes. My opinion of him is that he is a brilliant weirdo - Tim F. himself would probably agree with me! Some of his methods are odd, he is blunt, does not care about being polite, but definitely cares about people and how he can help them. You also care about helping people - the two Tims!
Thank you! I read your Substack at 6:00 am every morning. It’s something I do before I start my day. I’ve been following your writing for about six months, starting with reading your articles on Medium. I love your content so much and it has changed my life. Whenever you put up a course for sale, I buy it without reading the sales page because I know you really care about people. I have a lot of respect for you.
I just feel that I'm overdosing on things that resonate with me these days.
I wonder if there is a market for a GPT that takes your content and my profile and lets me get a narrow-cast.
A Substack GPT that let's subscribers get a narrow-casted/personalized version of your great content.
I could click it - and say "Hey Tim - whaddya think?" and it would say "Danny, Change is a good thing, go write 150 words about how leaving Intel was the best and worst thing that happened to you"
and I would click Like and think what a great guy Tim is for not flooding me with his wisdom.

Someone else mentioned this to Danny. Were you going to send me a demo?

Start the course today Wendy.

Great connection there Denis. Clearly you pay attention.
This one resonates with me a lot.
There are some points (almost all of them) that I am certain are true and that I would benefit from having them always at the back of my mind.
"Showing up for an unreasonable amount of time" is my favorite; that has been exactly my experience in business and life.
As always, thank you, Timbo, for dropping these gold nuggets.
People underestimate how time in the game beats trying to find shortcuts to play the game. But you still need to iterate otherwise you spend the most time but don't get results.
This is freaking good advice
What was the most helpful part Pamela?

I'd say Tim is exactly like that. I think he's overly polite. Do you disagree?

Wow what a kind comment Jen. Thank you. Our academy is going well and we're trying to help more people get started.
I have an idea how to do it.
Tim - how much would you pay for a GPT that narrow-casts, personalized-to-me content to your subscribers?
D
I have no idea Danny. I'd have to play with it to determine it's value. What do you think?
Tim -
You write really well and I love your insights.
I just feel that I'm overdosing on things that resonate with me these days.

Great idea Danny. I feel like the tech is not quite there yet but it's my hope to have something like this.
Well you never know how close or far the tech might be until we try it out for ourselves. ;-) https://chat.openai.com/g/g-ppKkTZvZ9-unfiltered-tim-gpt
Haha now I'm gonna have a play
How was your play?
Says I need a premium version of ChatGPT. Is that a must?
Yeah, sorry mate. Custom GPTs is a ChatGPT Plus feature.
I’d like to recommend a great book: “Smart Brevity”. It’s actually short.
Loved this.
Unsure when you had to be 18 to drive in Australia, but I’m old enough to remember you had to be 17 to get a Learners Permit in QLD. :)
Back to this, I loved the article. Tim’s audiobook of the 4-Hour Work Week is like Anthony Robbins’ Unlimited Power of business (and life).
I can’t help but see a trend here. It’s roughly this:
Tim Ferris: Rule # N
Time Denning: I, I, I, me, me, me, I me me, Me me me, I, I, me me. I, me I. Me, I me, I me I. Me me me me me. Ad nauseam.
My solution: Read a rule, skim skim skim. Skim skim skim skim. Skim skim skim skim skim. Read a rule. Repeat.
But thanks for sharing,..... Tim.
This is helpful feedback. Thank you!
Huge call. Why did you find this post so helpful compared to others?
