Hey Tim, I don't hate you but I get fired up after reading your stuff :)

No joke - your stories give me ideas for my stories. Which I tend to write in the evening. My girlfriend knows she must give me two hours after dinner.

The most valuable thing I do after 7 is read. 😘 I’ve also started planning out the next day and organizing all my junk from that day. It helps a lot.

GREAT. POST. I'm at my computer after 7 pm, working on my newsletter or something else.

Thx for reminder re reading, though. I need to do more of that.

Starting tomorrow the night before is a great way to minimise the friction for doing the things that are important. Don't be faffing around in a morning making your lunch deciding what to wear when you could have done it the night before.

Hey Tim ol buddy ol pal. I love ya man, but take it easy on the cold showers, will ya bud?

Hear me out.

Cranking the knob to cold at the end of a shower may seem absurd to some and may not be for everyone, but there’s value in it.

It’s not about the bro science or the brown fat. It’s about doing something difficult every day and how that difficult something makes the rest of the difficult bullshit a little bit easier.

When I sit down to write and the Resistance shows up telling me to do anything other than writing, I think about how challenging it was to stand in that ice cold water for three minutes.

With that, writing instead of procrastinating gets easier.

Great work, sir. I love reading your stuff. ✌️

Best value for me after 7pm is connecting with my partner. We won't have seen each other all day and it's the time we reflect on our day, share ideas and make our plans. (We are also in bed by 10pm), I like to clean the kitchen up after meal prep to ensure we wake up to a new day with no detritus from the day before to deal with. I do also try to do my to-do-list priority list for the next day the night before so I hit the ground running.

Such a realistic article written by a young man like you!

Even I, an old woman, still feel the need of reading, learning to be a reader gives a terrific advantage.

When I was a young mother, I read aloud to the children, not knowing that it would be a gift that will to last for life, making them independent!

Books are the life-giving power, a uniquely magic!

Tim your stories are better than my morning coffee.

What a great list! I think I need to print this out and tape it on the wall.

Finally an article I can engage with. My finger hovered over the comment window of many notes and articles this morning as I got angrier and angrier. It’s futile to engage when you don’t agree with someone. I totally agree with your article. I like your style. A pleasure to read.

What about before 7am? Morning person here👋 (more realistically before 9am). My brain doesn’t function well after a day of work/at night, especially when it comes to writing (I’m a freelance content writer!). Love this post. Thanks for sharing!

I prefer to write at night, my juices are flowing then. I am not a morning person because it takes me a while to get fully awake. Nice article Tim :)

I really needed to read this. Recently I've been feeling like I'm completely stuck in a particular life direction that requires my 9-5. I make a really good salary and people rely on me for it, but some days I'm pretty miserable honestly.

Love the point on anger. It does fire up something. But I'm rarely angry (only towards my boyfriend 😂

and recently because of a dispute with the owners of the company I work for - it got me so pissed of wrote a newsletter about it)

I'm barely spending time on social media, and I don't read or listen to the news, I don't see the comments on the news either, so I don't encounter many things that make me feel angry.

Not sure if I should start looking for this anger?
