I'm scared, but I agree that change is important and necessary. Let's hope our freedom to help people become better thinkers doesn't get banned. Thanks for this article Tim.

Tim, I'm excited about the change. As for Web3 I believe that's what the Minds social network uses. I wonder if more users will come or go with Elon being the new owner of Twitter. It will be an interesting transition to say the least!

You're correct Lisa. I've been watching Minds closely.

At this moment, I see only the positives. And, by the way, that former President already said he doesn't intent to return. He's launching his own platform, so he says. Since half the money Musk is using to buy Twitter is from banks, I am sure he presented a very good business model. It will be refreshing to see different points of view so people can use their brains to make their own decisions rather than being fed a daily dose of propaganda.

Thank you for the informative article, Tim.

One little correction though, and I point this out with humility and respect. You wrote "Unbanked countries such as Africa could use social media and transfer money with crypto even if they don’t have a bank account." Africa is a huge continent made up of multiple, different countries, not one continent-sized country. And some countries in Africa do have functioning, globally recognised banks. One example would be South Africa... I think. 😊

Anyway, thanks again for your mind-broadening writing. 😊
