Even though there is cycle of creation and destruction and renewal, wherever we may be in this cycle of life, the next step is always already in the process of been created.
We all have a choice of where we want to focus and channel our thoughts, intent and energy.
It seems that there is a majority focusing on the darker side but it also always remains true that change and renewal occurs at the same time and is driven by the few, the minority.
Even in the largest, darkest hangar, one single small candle will illuminate the whole.
That was a highly needed defense for optimism. As a half baked pessimist, though, I looked through the whole piece for some arguments to prove the optimism right. The only one I could find is "something good always arrives".
Let's dig a little deeper: First the climate issue that scares the shit out of most people. Is it real? Well, maybe it is real. After all it has been part of life since the origin of that concept. But it ain't proven! Not one single study or report has proven beyond doubt that man made CO2 emissions play any role what so ever.
So what about allowing just a grain of optimism here? Like the saying goes: "Some yell at the storms. Other build wind mills."
The path of a free society is not defined by the action or non-action of the few (the rich, the demons, the morons, the idiots, what ever names we call them).
It is defined by the action or non-action of you and me, the people.
So let's make sure we get to work and leave it to the pessimists to worry.

There are a lot of people who want a collapse so that they can rebuild the nation in their likeness (think Liberia) with the Orange Dictator as their leader. Their wet dream is to "rebuild" the country so that it looks like the Wild Wild West where everybody has a gun (except for black people, of course), women become chattal again, no Social Security or Medicare, we all will be working 20 hours a day at minimum wage until we die. The corporations and morbidly wealthy will own everything and control the country from behind their gated communities.
It will look like Hungary where people like Rupert Murdoch own all the media outlets and are loyal to the Orange POS and anybody writing articles like this one will accidentally be shot in the back of the head 3 times and fall out of a 10 story building. It will be deemed a suicide, of course.
I find the whole scenario possible as long as the MAGAts and politicians like Ron Johnson, Sick Rott and stupid loudmouths like Marjorie Taylor Green, Lauren Boebert, Matt Gates, Jim Jordan and Lindsey Graham continue to have a platform. Mitch McConnell will go along with it if Trump doesn't have him knocked off first.
So, I'm happy to read your positive essay today. Oh, and I love the "Colorful language."
What P.. me off is this: creation follows where one puts their thoughts, words, energy, etc....
What inflames me: How dare "they" create something I am NOT aligned to?
I say; those few who are still believing that there is a better world in the making, that we are so much more that the news, etc.. Please do give your thoughts, intention, energy to that amazing potential we all have to create something we prefer: Good, strong, magnificent, blissful, loving, peaceful, conscious, aware, mindful, magical, REAL! Do it! Do it today! Believe it! It is coming, truly, it is.... it is.....

Pessimistic morons are overtaking the internet....yep so avoid them and the places they congregate like the plague. I filter my Medium and YouTube feeds and therefore only see information I’m interested in. Will never hav twitter and have deleted FB...
Worse than the need for attention are the writers that are cynically using doom porn to get clicks and $$$
