Loved this article, this perspective has helped me a lot with people my age. I’m only 23 but it feels like most people my age aren’t even close to grasping this yet. Thanks Tim 🪬
Another piece of brilliant writing! I salute you Tim, for your thinking, your ability to reframe my mind and set it free, out of the prison of conditioned cogitations and restrained deliberations. It is only when we are OK with life not making sense that the restricted mind can be set free and we can access magic.
Yeah we humans have our own versions of reality which are far from actual reality. We are the only ones who matter from our perspective & that's why our perception is always distorted.
Oh I couldn't agree more. I didn't pay attention from 2020 to naysayers and disbelievers because it doesn't matter to me anyway. Took me a while to not give a damn about certain people but finally...
Funny you should say this, "Whenever I find myself being hit with that much emotion, it leads me to make different decisions in life." I reflect the same way when emotion surprises me, just sort of erupts like that.
I love the way you write Tim, and I get your point - well I think I do. It's about the importance of prioritising what's important and not wasting time and energy on little things. But what if some of those little things are actually very big things? For example, what if the example of minor police corruption that your wife encountered is actually the tip of a much larger iceberg? I often think that our society (I'm in the UK but I think this applies to many "liberal democracies") is groaning under the weight of corruption that most of us are too busy, or overwhelmed, or even simply reluctant to take note of, and like repressed emotions, the longer we ignore it, the worse it becomes. I suppose what I'm saying is that we all have choices, and it's up to each one of us to decide when it's important to challenge 1+1=5 and when to let it go.
Yes… I enjoy reading your posts. This one is a keeper… the Keneau Reeves quote… 1+1=5... has shown up in my reading several times over the past couple weeks. Karma in action… got my attention right away.. it would be a wonderful world if more people could just think .
Will do...once I figure it out! LOL. At this point, I am just getting back to what I love, which is writing...havent done much to promote or learn everything that Substack does...whoever finds me at this point is pretty much organic, but will figure it out this week and share with you.

You're' ahead of the pack Antonio. Nice one.
I took notes reading this. Thank you so much for sharing this knowledge with the world.
I love people who take notes Modester. Makes my day.
“The job of a creative is to make people think.” Just one awesome quote out of a whole article of awesome thoughts.
Well done Tim.
Cheers Josh. Don't mind it either :)

Freeing minds to think is what I love to do Edua.
1+1=👍
1+1 = 5 Peter :)

It's weird once you realise this Zarine.
Isn't it? Ironically knowing this truth makes it so much easier to sell :)

It's freeing when you stop caring isn't it Shailja?
On it Tim!
"My job as a writer isn’t to tell you what you want to hear. It’s not to give you fact after fact either – that’s what wikipedia is for.
The job of a creative person is to make people think."
Thank you for that, and other light bulb moments in this article, Tim.
It was a huge unlock for me. Glad it helped.

Sure does Rachel and it's weird.
Awesome Tim.
Thank you.
You made my day and hopefully much more than that!
Hell yes Karl!
This is a great one!!! I needed to hear this today. 1+1=5 and I don’t give a flying fx what people think.
That's the spirit Kim :)

Many questions worth pondering in your comment. Thank you.
Thanks again, Tim. Another great reminder!
Never argue with stupid people. You will never win any arguments. You just low your IQ to theirs!
Yep, that's the mistake I made on twitter Yvon.

Keanu is a legend Lynn. I feel like he's an alien.
Powerful and relatable. Well done, Tim 👏👏👏👏👏
Means a lot Joe. Thanks.
This was/is a great piece. I've written a couple of pieces hitting on themes in this. Will definitely reference this in a future post
You should link to them here so I can read them.
