This Is How I Got Superhuman Energy Levels
"The higher your energy level, the more efficient your body. The more efficient your body, the better you feel and the more you will use your talent to produce outstanding results."
Imagine a life where you’re full of energy
A life where you’re jumping out of bed. My life has intentionally become like that over the years.
The study of energy levels is a topic very few people know anything about.
It’s my obsession. I even wrote a book on it called “Burned Out To Fired Up.” Every day I work with deep focus and high energy. I do more in 4 hours than most people do in a week. I don’t say that to brag.
I tell you because this stuff works and I want you to experience the vitality and youth I feel. We’ve got to stop walking around like lifeless zombies waiting to die.
Some people die at 25 and aren't buried until 75 – Benjamin Franklin
Here’s how I regained my energy. You can level up your energy too.
The live event run by a giant that put a bullet in my neural pathways
My path to superhuman energy started in 2013. I went to a Tony Robbins event. I wasn’t prepared for what I saw. For 12 hours straight the guy jumped, clapped, laughed, moved, ran, and chanted.
I didn’t see him take a toilet break or eat a single thing.
Watching him in action made me curious. I began to look at how he lived his life. Before and after every event he’d jump on a Bellicon trampoline.
After googling why, I learned that gentle bouncing on a trampoline helps stimulate the lymphatic system, which doesn’t have a heart or muscle to help it do its job. The role of the lymphatic system is to remove waste from your body. Less waste equals more energy.
The second thing I learned from Tony is that the most important thing in life is the state you are in. You need to be energy-rich. He says to start with your physiology and focus. Then work on your psychology and mindset
During his live event Tony disrupted my psychology.
The high-energy state I was in became addictive.
I didn’t eat for 12 hours straight, I walked on fire, made friends with strangers, and I acted like a different person. One of Tony’s tricks was to constantly make us stand up, dance, and jump up and down every hour or so.
Movement equals emotion. Movement changes your physiology.
If you want more energy you have to move.
The higher your energy level, the more efficient your body. The more efficient your body, the better you feel and the more you will use your talent to produce outstanding results.
– Tony Robbins
Stay away from energy drainers
There are energy suckers everywhere. They take away our energy by complaining and blaming too much. They do it because they’re lost or bored or pissed off with a failure they lived through.
That’s okay.
Your energy is wasted when you spend time with these people. It’s hard enough to stay focused and maintain your mindset. Exit these people from your life. Let them back when they’ve healed from whatever problem has caused them to act this way.
Who you spend time with contributes or takes away from your energy levels.
Hang around high-energy people to become infected with their good vibes.
The documentary funded by some of the most successful people in history
At the start of the global health crisis my wife and I watched a documentary called “The Game Changers.” The list of backers includes Hollywood director James Cameron, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Formula 1 car driver Louis Hamilton.
It turns out many elite performers have figured out the secret to high energy: plants. They kept quiet about it until the documentary came out. Then eating plants went mainstream. My wife wasn’t quite convinced so she did further research.
She read a book called “The China Study.”
In it she learned about decades of research done by doctors about the power of eating plants instead of meat. So she decided to ditch all animal products.
I was surprised with her decision, as she ate a lot of meat because of the deep roots to it in her culture. Then my parents gave up eating meat. Then my boss at work did it.
Now my wife and I are 100% whole-food plant-based. That means no oil, animal products, or processed foods. Every day I see more people make the switch.
It’s not about being cool.
It’s not about the taste.
It’s about the high energy you get from this new way of life.
When you eat plants and not animal products, your body has far less inflammation. This breakthrough in society is no fluke. The documentary The Game Changers explains why and backs it up with extensive research that is impossible to argue with.
Eat plants to get high energy. Forget about the labels or looking cool. Cool people have energy.
Food = energy. Learn what food your body needs to thrive. The rest is bullsh*t.
This chronic condition steals our energy
Not only are many of us undernourished due to poor diet choices. We’re chronically dehydrated, too, because we don’t drink enough water.
Most of our body is made up of water. When we don’t drink enough we get brain fog and feel low on energy.
Tea, coffee, and sugary drinks make us more dehydrated. They are mirages for real hydration. Google how much water you need each day based on your weight. Drink that amount daily.
No more drama
Drama is everywhere. Go on Twitter or Medium and you’ll see plenty of it. Some of that drama will even get aimed at you – especially if you’ve had a little bit of online success like I have.
If you let it, drama, too, will rob you of your precious energy.
Choose non-reactivity. See drama. Leave drama. Don’t engage. Move on.
Reprogram the beat of your life
High-energy music helps elevate your energy levels. Many people like me work in flow states for most of the day. We use dance music or movie soundtracks to anchor our attention and lift our mood.
If you’re in a low state the quality of work you produce will be low too.
The simple hack is to program a playlist that will help you achieve success. Just don’t crank the music too loud like I did for the last two years or you’ll end up with tinnitus, which is what I have. It’s not fun.
Go to the 6-pack factory
6-packs are made in the gym. Okay, maybe you don’t want washboard abs. Me neither. But the gym is where a high-energy day starts.
Movement is life.
The gym is full of people who all have fitness goals like you. After 2 years away from the gym due to the global health crisis, I’m finally back training.
My energy levels have never been higher. I come out ready to work hard. My body is starting to recover, although I’m still weak from my long absence. A lack of movement has caused many of my muscles to become tight.
If you don’t exercise every day you’ll become sedentary. My physio said a sedentary lifestyle is the new smoking. It messes with your back, heart rate, and breathing.
Get your blood pumping to feel 21 years old again.
Walk in nature
Never underestimate the power of human nature. Our animal instincts love nature.
That’s why a walk in the park or along the beach helps to refill your energy levels after they’ve been depleted from a day of work. Tap into your caveman or cavewoman energy reserves and spend time outside in the sun.
Takeaway
To gain access to superhuman energy levels, you need to adopt daily habits that can cultivate the right environment for you to thrive. Choose one habit from the list above and get started. Add more energy-producing habits as you make progress.
Energy is life. Without energy, you walk around dead, waiting for your funeral.

There are some points I don't agree with in your post. You said you switched to a 100% plant-based diet and ditched all the animal products. I eat meat and animal fat almost every day and I wake up in the morning with super high energy levels. And that's because I eat a lot of salad too along with intermittent fasting and cutting out carbs. What gave you energy isn't dumping all the meat but increasing vegetables which gives you potassium and all the important minerals. It's rather the combining of animal products WITH sugar and carbs that is unhealthy, that's why its better to eat them separately. Also, drinking a lot of water is also a myth. We don't need that much water, but a much more important factor in staying hydrated are electrolytes: the balanced amount of sodium (which you get mainly from salt) and potassium levels in our body. Too much water can even flush out some of those electrolytes. Coffee makes us dehydrated because it acts like a diuretic and so it depletes some of that salt and potassium but if you're loaded with these, coffee won't be a problem. A small coffee in the morning is very good because all those antioxidants. Sugar and the no or low nutrition foods like bread, pasta also deplete potassium and makes us feel dehydrated. But tea?? We need to be aware of all those studies on nutrition, there are many fake ones like the one that says animal fat is bad or that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, which they publish just so that food companies gain more profit or to reduce the energy on feeding animals.
I do agree with the rest of what you shared. The point on the lymphatic system was quite interesting.
Your energy levels show up in your writing as well Tim! Thanks for writing this informative piece.
