Great post Tim. Recently came across your work and I can relate to your entrepreneurial journey. Like you I've been up at the heights building businesses and then watched them crash and burn and had to start all over again (the only difference is I had the family first)! But I wouldn't change it, it's all learning and adds to the flavor of life and the direction we go.

What did you learn from this experience Luke?

Optimize for Lifestyle. Quality time with family and doing work I enjoy is true wealth.

Best newsletter out there!

Also I’m stealing the idea of creating a Hero Post for my substack. Brilliant idea. Thanks Tim. Been a big fan of your writing for years

You were recommended in another substack I was reading, and I'm so glad I found you. You're philosophies on living your life by your own rules and what it takes to be in the 1% and your struggle with mental illness really has me inspired to get myself out from the bad spiral and mental decline that I have had the past few months and and start living again.

This was perfect timing!

Too many philosophers and not enough practitioners. We need more leaders talking about what they've done.

Another one who's been following your work for years and having had a faltering start to my idea of part-time coaching and the rest writing, I've decided to focus on writing. Substack looks like a great choice for its simplicity and lack of distractions for building that consistency.

Mine, which I'm calling "Diaries of a Spiritual Adventurer" (the inner and outer journey), is not remotely original, but I am, and you have confirmed it's possible to ignore most "experts" and be me AND successful. LOL. Thanks for everything. I will be upgrading my Unfiltered sub as soon as I get my first subscriber!

Hey Tim - love your content. I'm a newbie just getting going, but this page inspired my welcome page (I gave you credit - 🤪). If you get bored check it out, I'd love to hear your thoughts to get better. Cheers and continued success mate - (says the guy from New Jersey).

Gregg, thanks for the props. Checking out your welcome page right now. Heads up that I didn't come up with this idea. I borrowed it from someone else lol.

Haha - Y a pinned post on the homepage is nothing new - but I borrowed your structure and the spirit of some of your headings - so I try (to remember) to give credit when that happens.

Thanks! Okay, here goes. I started writing on Medium last year. I've seen slow but steady growth in followers and income. What would you suggest as next steps - keep putting out content there or get started on substack and focus more effort here?

Make sure you have a newsletter as well as Medium. I recommend Substack.

Look at your headlines and obsess over them. Make them hit harder.

Be sure to open strong.

Keep the reader top of mind and don't post journal entries.

I saw other authors providing it. Probably you have to manually create a podcast on Spotify or similar platforms and give them your Substack podcast feed.

Anyway, thanks for adding the voice recording. I have so little time to sit down and read
