Nothing better. Holidays are good. Just at the beach trying to relax. My daughter started walking which is fun. She just wants to walk with me everywhere.
The biggest risk is looking back at the end of your life and feeling regret because you didn’t live a full life...because you were afraid to take risks.
I love this! I’ve started asking myself, “why not?” Somehow it invites more risk taking and the “screw it” mentality. Why not go to NYC for 1 night to see Phish? Why not text the guy I like? Why not open a school? Why not talk to strangers seated next to me on the airplane? Thank you for sharing- I always enjoy reading your content.
Having the option to choose customers who respect and value your work is something that resonates with me the most. Thank you Tim for your great work as usual.
Well said! People use age as an excuse. I changed career in my 40s and at 47 I went to Vietnam for one year & never went back. That was 6 years ago. I definetely don't care what people think of me anymore. We have to push through our fears everyday.
I've just formed an online coaching company in the US, so I am in the process of building that. I have followed you for a few years now and have learned a lot from you. So, I will write, speak, and coach, and hopefully build some courses too. Thank you for all your hard work and efforts, Tim. You're an inspiration!
Everything... the "screw it" age comes with maturity. A sign of growth is when you can walk with your head high and love who you are, flaws and all. At the end of the day its not about age, it's about growth! All the signs in your article points to growth. Love it! However, the aches and pains may require a different approach to diet and exercise, LOL...
It's crazy how the mindset has so much power yet people continuously overlook it. It's not normal but now I'm thinking when you think outside of your normal routine it makes people uncomfortable which is fine. Next year I plan on doing more executing and less making excuses for myself. As always thanks for sharing your mind with us Tim. Every article I read I know it's going to get my brain thinking.
Take what you learned Samuel and execute on it. People will think you're crazy which means it's the right thing to do. Because most people want to be comfortable.
I just turned seventy-four, and "screw it" is at the top of my favorite phrases. So is, "I don't care." If it doesn't serve me, my family, or the Universe, whatever it is, it's not essential. I'm blessed to have lived this long. I don't do drama; I left that in high school.
I learned long ago that I can't please everybody, accept me for who I am, or take a leave. I'm living the best years of my life, filled with gratitude and joy, and nobody is allowed to rain on my parade.
Money is freedom. I always had a default mindset of ignoring money matters because somehow I always managed to take care of myself and everybody gave only what I considered to be bad advice about personal finances and money in general - either that it's the root of all evil or that it is the solely the only one thing that matters in life.
I would advise parents to encourage their children to experiment and discover things by themselves and form their own opinions... Because that's what they'll (hopefully) end up doing anyways.
6 years out of university I left a very well paying job, changed from mining to manufacturing and a role that would have been a demotion along with the pay cut to match. I recently graphed my income since university and I'm not sure I wanted to be reminded how big the cut wasbut...the next year the mining company was laying off engineers and cutting bonuses. 15 years later it was the right decision and I've moved my way back to an engineering position 12 years ago. At this point any change would again be a pay cut and a hit to retirement plans. I'll almost certianly stay, not too old to change but there's less upside to a change every year.
I know two people that changed jobs at a little older than me. The both seemed less happy with each move.
A salary is level one in life Chris. I guess you don't know what you don't know. Open your mind up and you'll realize what you just wrote is a scarcity mindset.
You can live by your rules or someone else's. You give me hope that your generation didn't have to wait to my age to finally break the code. Great piece!
There's zero fear when you write online because there's zero risk.
Spot on Denis. How's your writing going?
My girlfriend is away for three weeks this holiday season, which means lots of time for writing. I write every day. How are you enjoying the holidays?
Nothing better. Holidays are good. Just at the beach trying to relax. My daughter started walking which is fun. She just wants to walk with me everywhere.

This one hit hard, mind bending Tim
Cheers Anthony. I believe this at my core.
What's the one risk you're afraid to take?

The worst that can happen with this way of life Grace is your learn something. Agree?
Agreed!
"Screw it!", "Why not?" and my latest one is, "Who cares?"
Great 2024 mantras Orla!

So what do you do now instead of a job Orla?

Sounds like a clever plan. Always build your social media first, otherwise it'll be unnecessarily hard.
Thanks for that tip, Tim. I'll do my best!
Yes. Yes. And, YES!!!

Agree Lydia. I've changed things up with both diet and exercise.
Just what I most needed to read today, thank you.
No probs Nicolina!

Many people reach their 70s and never discover the screw it way of life. Makes me sad Isabel but I'm glad you discovered it.
Thank you.
Awesome.
What part did you find helpful?
I have come across all the points you have mentioned. I can relate to it and I feel glad that I am on the right track.
Perfect!
As a competitive boxer, the Mike Tyson story has some effect.
His opponents were the one who should have cried
He's a strange character Voss. Anything weird that you've heard about him?
He fights with no socks to feel like a spartan ,
Wow I didn't know that!
Sorry, no socks ! Still surprising.

The bigger the commitment with the evolution and integration of yourself, the quicker you’ll enter the “fucking screw it mother fuckers” mindset.
Great first read! 👊🏼
Cheers Miguel. Do you live this way of life?
I try to live on a path of coherence with my values, it is not always easy and I make mistakes, but purpose and intention make it possible.
Being values led is crucial Miguel.
"Most people are forgiving, and those who aren’t should be deleted from your network." Love this one - may use it as my 2024 mantra.
Go for it Beth. What else will be part of your 2024 mantra?

Einstein didn't know what he didn't know, that really doesn't make sense or it could be said of everyone.
You can live by your rules or someone else's. You give me hope that your generation didn't have to wait to my age to finally break the code. Great piece!
I've always believed age doesn't matter.
