I am Muslim. Go to pray five times a day to the mosque. Enter the mosque barefoot, pray barefoot and walk out barefoot. Love it, but didn't know it was therapeutic.
I married at 23. My wife was 16. What!!!! 😮
Yes, 16. Our marriage was arranged. What??? 😮
Yes, arranged.
We have been happily married for the last 26 years with five children and three grandchildren, so far. I swear it is the best decision I made in life. I don't make a whole lot but am content with what I have, because my focus was always family, not money.
Couldn't agree more with high speed on the highways. Just to may points on license right now;)
Good on you. I’m 57 and did some of what you’re doing. I do regret not doing more of it. Retiring early next year and plan to go full throttle until I’m slam out of gas.
Showing up to things like the gym is so important for building a habit even when you don’t feel like it. Though, best to not go down the anti-vax road—you might start questioning if the world is round.
"Do the thing you know you must do. The momentum from action will knock over all the roadblocks".
The thing I feel I must do is free my kids (ages 10 and 13) from the mediocre public education system that I experience everyday while substitute teaching. Their school district is rather affluent (Orange County, CA) yet that doesn't mean anything in terms of quality of learning.
Does anyone else feel this sense of emptiness and resignation when it comes to their kids' education?
You’ve built a roadmap for life with such simplicity and clarity: start now, question everything, value memories over things. Start now, even if the path is unclear. Start now, because tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. The lesson in creating “memory ROI” is touching and shows that time with loved ones is priceless. This reflection is proof that slowing down can be a superpower, not a weakness. Regret is a powerful reminder: if your legacy was measured in memories...and not achievements without loved ones....would you be proud of that?
The driving fast rule really hits differently.
Driving on an open road feels like a rare kind of freedom 🤩
This is a really unique tip, man. I will do it more for sure :)
Important stuff, as always, when Tim filters down his thoughts through a keyboard.
Embracing slow living enhances your life.
You have time to experience, feel, reflect, and appreciate the moment.
Slow living makes you a better human.
A genuinely useful post!

Go slow and enjoy life. True ! I would add : live as an analog maximalist
Didn’t your Mom ever beat you?
What happened to TODD????
Hearing you say stop trading time for money and instead create a business and life you love.
Raw banger!
The image is hilarious 😂
And Bill Perkins’s book that you mentioned changed my life.

Good stuff
I’ve been getting lax in my exercise. I’m going to try your one set idea. I’m sure it’ll help.
