The fondest gentle memories I have are the ones where I spent time in the mountains.

Sitting by a stream or creek, listening to the birds. Enjoying the quiet - contemplating. I found the quieter I became (it took about two weeks generally), the more I became aware of nature around me.

I became part of it and it’s amazing how sharp your senses become. Your breathing changes. You start sleeping with a natural cadence - your circadian rhythm recalibrates.

What stands out is anything that is out of sync with the “flow”.

Your mind becomes clear, quiet, attentive.

You don’t miss talking or voices or sirens or telephones. Food tastes better.

It’s easy to smile.

I became aware of God’s presence. And the voice in my head became gentler.

The memories are vivid and clear. They are peaceful and valuable. I have always wanted to build a writing space in rhe mountains. I have a picture of the ideal version I posted on pinterest years ago.

I never felt lonely out there- only welcome.

Thank you for reminding of these memories.

Michael, your memories of the mountains sound truly serene and transformative. I find that it’s amazing how nature can reconnect us to ourselves and the world. And I agree, building a writing space in such a place seems perfect for nurturing creativity and tranquility.

Thank you for sharing this :)

Does forex training work? My experience tells me you can't beat the high frequency traders and hedge funds. But I'd love to be proven wrong.

Forex traders can't beat the hedge fund but can successfully trade the markets like the hedge fund managers with the right approach and resources.

Great post! I needed this today.

I’m currently struggling with the corporate path (which is financially comfortable). I have great mentors and peers pushing me towards higher and higher positions, but I get no joy or sense of fulfillment.

Once I get the side hustles off the ground and generating 50% of my monthly income, I’ll drop a ninja smoke bomb and disappear that day.

That's cool. I'd love to hear your story. I run a podcast for traders called A Trader's Life. Do look me up if you'd like to discuss chatting to me on the show.

For the obsessed our hobby and our work are the same thing. We don't need an escape because our work is all we want to be doing.

Hi Tim, Absolut. Turning our Obsession into a business, requires putting a VALUE on the things we do. How you can we find our value? Comparing isn't the solution.

What is it than?

You don't find your value. You just make offers and A/B test.

Hi Tim, thank you for your reply. Appritiate your advice. It's about the "right" marketing methodology and content to reach the clients I need.. Sounds hard

What's your take on the crypto markets right now? Is the Mt Gox self off causing the drama?

I majorly think the cause of the drama in the market is the BTC the german government transferred to Bitstamp, Kraken and Coinbase (1300 BTC)

Loneliness indeed is unhealthy, but it's fine if you do it on your own terms, as your decision. It's the same thing with fasting or stopping drinking alcohol.

Longer, in-depth thoughts of your articles. Good writers are very good at articulating their thoughts which means that you'd be doing good on an audio format. Proof? Your audio narration on these posts is insane. Just do that. Play with that, I'd be happy to subscribe and listen to your thoughts. Why? Cause I'm a lazy reader but a very good listener and if you didn't make these audio clips within these posts, I'd not bother read the whole thing through. And I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Hey Tim, just wanted to weigh in and say that I think you nailed it on this. I, too, have experienced my greatest periods of growth in solitude and “disappearance”. I know others who have too. Especially appreciate the shout-out to Novak/Rafa. Remember that well, and remember what it took for Novak to put himself in optimal position. Now look at him. :)

what you said..."You can learn to tame that voice too. You can make that voice a little kinder. You can learn to question that voice. Most of all, other voices don’t drown out your voice."...and we can learn to hear our voice reflected in others. We can learn to be the voice reflecting back for others.

Sounds wonderful. It is a good intention but a magical, wishful thinking, which does not work. Most people can't or don't want to reflect their energy. They suck your good energy and run away with it. Turning it into something awful, if you not learned to discern who is who. I not willing to share my positivity with people who not diserved it. I rather stay in my bodyverse, with selected friends.
